In the 19th Century, crabshacks popped up all over the American Gulf Coast. Simple, and emblematic of the easy going lifestyle the region has embraced, they were one of the best things about Gulf Coast living.
The signature dishes at Big Easy, King's Road, London, include fresh Maine 1kg/2lb lobster, fresh crab and shrimp, 35 day aged Scottish beef, Classic Chophouse Burger, surf & turf and 'real home-smoked Bar-BQ'.
Also on offer is a variety of fresh fish, salads and chargrilled fajitas. Attractions include regular food & drink promotions such as an 'all you can eat BBQ' and there is also live music nightly.
In the kitchen, designed and installed by Carford Group and on view to the public through the pass, are a total of eight Adande 2 Drawer units, providing preparation worktop space as well as undercounter fridge and freezer storage.
In an unusual configuration, two are placed back to back, creating a central island workstation. Facing the frying area on one side and chargrill on the other, the Adande Drawers provide bulk storage at the point of use.
The head chef had this to say of his first experience of Adande Drawers."They are really great for this type of kitchen. We get very, very busy here and with every chef at their station it is essential we have refrigeration which offers easy access to the meat, vegetables and fish.
"It also gets pretty warm but the Adande Drawer units hold temperature very well - every morning when I come in they are spot on!"
